A friend of mine sent this to me, and I was glued for the entire seven and a half minutes. I can remember genuinely feeling so luck as a kid to be growing up in Canada. Now that I’m grown I am so thankful for having grown up here. No country is without dark chapters of history and a long list of things to improve upon. As well, we are shining light into those dark chapters to better heal from them – and maybe just maybe be able to move on from them one day. No society exists without friction and differing ideals. But the mosaic that the people of Canada make up is one of the most beautiful seen in the world, and I feel pride being a part of it.
We will never be the 51st anything. We’re serious about that, just as we are serious about taking care of our people, our planet, and everyone we share the world with. Just as we’re serious about safeguarding our Canadian identity and way of life. Mess with that and we’ll give you something to think aboot.
