We now have a trailer for the new Seinfeld movie about Pop Tarts and it got me thinking about the origins of common foods…

Coffee is a prime example: who was the genius who thought, “Hmm, this berry tastes terrible, but maybe if we set it on fire, grind up the seed, and run hot water through it, we’ll have a delicious drink?”.

And…how did we stumble across cow’s milk? Who was the brave soul who volunteered to be the first person to tug on a cow’s udder and think, “Hey, I wonder what happens if I drink this white stuff?”.
