Yellowstone is a national park in the USA. Much like Banff is a national park in Canada. It is important to remember when visiting national parks we are in the company of many wild animals. Hence why you don’t approach said animals. You give additional space so they can do their thing. The video below shows a bison mauling a tourist.  Unfortunately there’s been a few instances over the past few weeks of tourists being attacked. I’m not sure why anyone would wanna pet a 2000lb bison….
