Shannon Sharpe, Pro Football Hall of Famer and ESPN personality, addressed a livestream incident on his social media Wednesday night. The stream, which featured audio of a woman in the background, suggested a private encounter, though nothing explicit was shown.
Initially claiming his account was hacked, Sharpe later discussed the situation on his podcast “Nightcap” with Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson. He expressed embarrassment, stating, “As someone very private, it’s humiliating to have such intimate audio shared publicly.”
Sharpe admitted to being unfamiliar with Instagram Live, and his marketing team eventually helped end the video. Despite the mishap, he joked about it with an ad for a male-enhancement product.
Sharpe, who has over 3.2 million Instagram followers, even received a $100,000 offer from an adult entertainment company. Sports broadcaster Michelle Beadle also commented on the incident, clarifying she wasn’t involved.
