Two Asian commercial farms are hinting that snake meat might emerge as a popular protein source in the future. This is due to the remarkable efficiency of python farming, especially when compared to traditional livestock such as chickens and cows.

Dr. Daniel Natusch commented, “In terms of food and protein conversion ratios, pythons outperform all mainstream agricultural species studied to date.”

Snake meat is already gaining popularity in China and Southeast Asia, with Pizza Hut even offering it as a topping in Hong Kong!
